Rusnano CEO says Russia’s invest in renewable pwr at 1 tln rbl

TOKYO, Oct 30 (PRIME) – Russian investment in renewable energy is close to 1 trillion rubles, President of nanotechnological company Rusnano Anatoly Chubais told PRIME on Tuesday.

“The amount of what has been made in Russia by the Energy Ministry, the Industry and Trade Ministry and the Economic Development Ministry today is astonishing. We think that the total amount of investment which this project creates in Russia is close to 1 trillion rubles. I am talking about construction of more than 5,000 megawatts of capacities in this sphere by 2024,” Chubais said.

He said that after 2024, Russia will start the second stage of renewable energy support and will create an industry of equipment production.
